EXPERIENCED TECH HELP WANTED...State: Current DME: No BSD message from alternator
Had this code pop up while driving. When I parked the car, I shut it off and when I came back to start it, nothing. Gauges and everything works just nothing as far as cranking it over...
I changed alternators, since I had a new one that I hadn't put in yet and still nothing....I tested the wire from the alternator (Red) to the starter and it ohmed out good, tested the wire from the starter to the battery connection terminal (Blue) and same thing. Tested the voltage from the battery to starter and had 6.9v. Also tested the fuses (Circled in Blue) in the engine and circuit opened and closed and had great voltage. Any help from someone that delt with this is greatly appreciated....also can a dead remote battery cause the car not to start?
I'm at a loss....what am I missing?

Well after numerous hours and testing, I found out the the
The Automatic Transmission Position Sensor somehow slipped back a gear!! Everything looked good, nut was tight, cable didn't slip, but somehow, someway, the mechanism slipped back a gear. I even tried starting it previously in every gear but it never would.....
so incase someone runs into this issue and has exausted all options and testing...disconnect the shifter cable and manually put the car in park gear!!!
Then fire it up.
