I am low on power steering fluid. The OEM is chf 11s which i cant find at any parts store. Do I have to get this from mini or will any over the counter fluid work? Also, I am tired of paying the high prices mini charges for oil changes and service (the economy is tough ya know) so I want to start doing it myself but I can not find the cabin filter or the air conditioning filter thing, whatever it is. Can I get these from an auto parts store once I figure out how to remove the old ones? How do I reset my service milage indicator once I complete the service? I thought there was something else but I cant remember right now. Thanks to anyone whom offers me help.2003 cooper.

 

Mini will sell you the fluid over the counter , as with the Cabin air filter .... The Cabin filter can be ordered from most car parts store , or from ebay ,or atlantic british...
Oil changes are very easy ,as is the reset
1. Press and hold the trip odometer button.
2. Insert car key and turn it to the fi rst position
(not the second position).
3. You will see 51A come up in the trip odometer
area.
4. Release, then press and hold again.
5. Watch for the word “RST” to appear on the
Odometer indicator.
6. Release, then press and hold again.
7. Wait for the “RST” message to fl ash.
8. Release, and then press &
release
(once only).
