Default Fuel for non-S 2007 Cooper

Purchased the Cooper yesterday. Saw that the Manuel recommends fuel 87 octane or above. Has anyone noticed problems using regular unleaded in the non-S model?

Default run away from the car

Hi, sell the thing. Truly run from it. I have put so much money into my 07. Google around. We are not alone.

I wouldn't put any lesser of an octane in the car than what is recommended from factory. The higher the octane the better it is for the vehicle. Here is a thread about 87 vs. 91. Might help give you some insight.
