Just bought a 2018 Countryman that has a couple of issues. One is that the gas flap door will not latch shut.
From the outside I cannot see any way to open up the unit to get to the latch. From the inside, I have taken off the little access panel but it is aft of the gas door so I cannot see or reach the latch parts.
Also, and maybe related, there is supposed to be a cord or cable to pull to unlock the flap if it is not working properly. That part is missing.
I have not yet got a good repair manual and wonder if there is a way to remove the the large panel on the inside that covers that whole section.
Any ideas are appreciated.
