With in 1 min. of starting car with a/c on cold air turns very hot for about 1min. then returns to cold. Any idea of cause?

 

I've had this problem for a couple of years now. I took it into a mini dealer just before my warranty expired. They ended up replacing the temp sensors both inside and outside. I'm afraid it didn't work. The other hassle is they wouldn't do anything until they were able to reproduce the problem which took them a week of testing drive in the morning and afternoons.

I'm very interested if someone had a similar problem and was able to get the issue resolved.

 

my a/c quits at stop lights and the light in my a/c button starts flashing. no compressor whine though and it will blow cold all day at highway speeds.
