I have a 2006 cooper s. Today I went to open my trunk by using the unlock feature on the key and the car unlocked but the hatch didn't. Can anyone help?

 

The 06 would have a seperate button (other then the unlock) to open the hatch ... (opposite the unlock )

Then you are getting signal , next I'd check the switch on the rear handle ... there are two torx screws that hold the handle on remove them and carefully move the handle, there is a plug with two wires be sure it's plugged in ...Check that , if they are plugged in you can try jumpering the two and see if it pops

 

Another FYI there is a manual release under the rear seat
