Default Looking to purchase a MiniCooper! Need Help!

Hello guys! So I'm looking to purchase my first car.
I want a Mini Cooper. I fell in love after driving my friends 2004 Mini Cooper S.

Went to the dealership today and found one, 2003 Mini Cooper S Manual, though its got 28,060 miles on it. Should I be worried about this? Or Did I land on a winner? Its also going for $14,481.

There's only been one maintenance done which is listed on Carfax. I'm assuming the others haven't been listed OR it hasn't had much maintenance.

Can anyone give me suggestions on if its safe or not to purchase the vehicle? It is currently being shipped to my city, free of charge. So I will not know the condition of the vehicle until tomorrow, though I'm assuming its in great! Hopefully..

I just paid $26,900 for a 2011 with 10,000 miles on it. Check nada.com and kbb.com. Definitely get an S model. You will be unhappy after driving one and don't get one. They are awesome and this is from an old muscle car owner/builder.

Wait, so buy one or don't get one? Lol. If I do, it will be the S model and a manual! Haha

Mini's service interval is 15k or yearly , Likely he had the 15k service done and didn't
get the yearly (some dealers won't do this unless you fight for it)

Despite the low miles the I'd say the price is $2K/3K too high

Agh okay.

Yeah It is pretty high. Now they just transferred it from Cali to here (Las Vegas) and the price is now $16,599 on the website... Ummmm yeah, thats outrageous. I'm going to try and talk them down to atleast 13k.

That's what I'm saying. If 14 was already to high, I won't even think twice about it at 16. That's ridiculous.

Check the book values and start negotiations with low trade in value and go no higher than retail.
