Hi

Im a new mini owner, I have an 2005 hatch and am loving it so far except one mysterious wind noise im having when I drive above 40mph.

The noise appears to be coming from the left side of the windscreen at the bottom as you sit in the driving seat. I thought at first this could be the windscreen not being sealed correctly but there is no water coming through at all and when the noise is occurring you cant actually feel any air coming in to the car.

My mechanic had thought that perhaps it was inside the bonnet where the noise was happening, a loose grommet maybe? But after digging around he was still bemused.

I have read other forums and people problems with this issue, there are lots of theories with vents, loose filters, windscreens not being seated etc but im still none the wiser.

Can anyone please shed some light on this? It makes for long motorway journeys unbearable at the moment without having the stereo at full volume or earbuds in which isnt ideal.
