I am thinking of buying a Mini. BUT, this BS about no spare tire and $300 per tire replacement cost is preventing me from putting cash down right now. Has anyone modified the Cooper S exhaust and added a spare tire in the non- 'S' position? It looks like factory bolt- on parts will hang the skinny spare. One would just have to re-route the mufflers onto either side. Anyone???

 

I guess I am in uncharted territory with this spare tire/ re-routed mufflers thing. Are there any creative types out there that have looked at this possibility?

 

I'm also looking for some information about adding a spare tire. I bought an 04 MINI S. The guy before me changed the run flats out and I have no spare, just a can of fix-a-flat.

 

Questions:
1.My sunroof does not function. I have tried to find the fuze but had no luck.
2.The car sat for 9 weeks. When I started it the gas gage, speedometer and other related indicator lights were not working. What do I do to recify?
