Default No one is wanting to change my oil??

I have a brand new 2009 MINI Cooper S and it's about time to take it in for an oil change so I took it to two different "no appointment needed" oil change places and they both said that they didn't have the filter in stock that my car needed. I then took it to a 3rd "no appointment needed" place and they told me that I would have to make an appointment because the owner had told them that only he does MINI Coopers.

Is it complicated? Would it be worth bringing it to BMW to have them do it?

My Lube Stop does mine just fine , I bought a filter and bring it with me incase they used it on the car before me.
I posted the procedure for both mini's

Since yours is so new Mini should do the oil change for free. they do annual or every 15K, I do mine every 5K and let them do the third

I called MINI (Actually, BMW who services it in my area) and they said that the free oil changes are only for BMW's and not MINI's. Too bad.....

You make a very good point about bringing a filter. I think I'm going to do that.

3 years that was really cool dude. Is that possible to run without changing the oil for 3 years.

I think he's talking about free oil changes from BMW. It is still recommended to do it every 15k or every year (whichever comes first)

That is way too long to go without changing your oil, at least every 5k, your engine wont last long at that rate

I had to remove the entire belly pan from my 2017 convertible to get to the drain bolt and filter housing. And although there were regular torx screws everywhere, the 9 holding the belly pan on were security torx with the center pin! Why the hell did they do that!!? Luckily there was just enough shoulder on the heads to fasten vise grips to. And they weren't tight. I'll be replacing them on the next oil change if I still have this $$$$$POS.
