Non-working turn signal on a new tail light assembly for 2017 Hardtop
My right taillights all had stopped working. When I went to unplug the taillight wire plug, I found it stuck because it was corroded bad enough that I broke a couple of pins removing it. So I got a new assembly, new bulbs, and a new wire plug. After splicing the new plug one wire at a time to make sure I didn't mix anything up, I plugged it in and everything works right except the turn signal. If I put the right signal on, it does not light up in the taillight, but the rest of the blinkers on that side are hyper flashing. I checked to make sure the splice was good for that wire. The only thing I that is different is that on the old plug, the non-used wire was just empty on the plug, whereas mine is cut and the exposed wire taped. I was afraid I'd break the pins again if I tried to take the plug apart.
Any thoughts? Thanks, Joy
