Default Oil plug/ drain plug gasket?

Maybe someone can help, I am totally new to minis and don’t know much about cars or working on them at all. I just got a 09 Mini Cooper 116k miles everything seemed to run really well untill lights started coming on, it was basic stuff though I replaced the break pads and got the oil changed and then I noticed the car is leaking a small bit of oil out from where the oil plug is on the oil pan, I was reading online that this could be just a gasket on the plug that’s cracked or won’t seal any more. Does anyone know anything about this?

There is an aluminum or copper "crush washer" that is to be replaced at every oil changed, and is placed on the oil drain plug. It forms a tight seal, better than just a plug.
