First of all thanks in advance. My husband is in Kuwait and I need a little guidance. My oil light came in today in my 2009 mini it's automatic. I put 3 quarts of oil in. Light did not go off. Does it need more oil or does the oil light need to be reset now?

 

I have an '09 hard top and in mine the oil light goes off once the oil pressure is returned to normal. I would suggest that you have it looked at.
