Question Romoving rear wiper arm

The back glass on my 2006 S just broke.

It is Tinted, Heated, and has the wiper arm going thru it. I got the nut off the wiper arm, but still can't seem to get the arm off the shaft. I am trying a gear puller, using a socket on the loose backed off nut, but am afraid I am going to break the arm.

QUESTION - Is this the right way to try to get the arm off? Can anybody help, I am a little lost here...

I had trouble removing mine ... I had to soak the stud with penetrating oil the dissimilar metals appear to corrode into each other

Yea, it does seem that the stud has now become one with the wiper.

But it does pull off, not screw off, right?
