My new to me 2003 sunroof sticks. I manually forced it closed and that was it. When I press the button the motor sounds like gears are stripped or missing it growls and pops loudly. The sunroof track seems to be ok, I'm un-sure if just replacing the motor will solve my problem. I'm not sure what drives the sunroof does it have cables or ? Think a simple motor replacement would fix it? Or should I replace the whole unit as an assembly?
