Hello, first time poster here. I searched the forums but couldn't find any help so here goes!

Just bought my 09 Base Cooper Stick shift and absolutely love it, but it looks like it has a short or some type of electrical problem

The first is the turn signals blink ridiculously fast (as if a light was out) but no lights seem to be out... My friend's 09 blinks at a normal rate.

The other, more annoying issue is that the car by tells me about every 10 minutes that the trunk is open when it is most definitely secured. The dealer had little to say about this and I'd like to fix this myself if its any easy one. Has anyone had these issues?
