Wiring Harness / Body Control (BC1) Failure
#21
[quote=daruxton;7129]Holy ****, it actually worked! I drove my car tonight for the first time since February!
Hi there Dave! I live in socal and it rained a couple of weeks back ( 1st of the season ) and my doorlocks started acting up. I found the domelight on and the actuators constantly firing away ( clicking ). Pulled the fuse to make it stop and I cam able to operate the car normally - only I have to manually key the doorlock to lock it up and unlock it. I don't know if the rain had anything to do with it but my body control module is dead according to my mechanic. I didn't have a problem finding a replacement ( used ) online. My question is this:
Do I need to get it reprogrammed like you mentioned in your previous post or will it run as soon as you replace the BC1? Also, where is that non-dealership that you had yours programmed at in case I need to get it reprogrammed? Friggin Mini dealership is asking THREE SIXTY for a "reprogramming" Thanks!
