last year it ran 12.60s with mufflers and DOTs...on 87 octane...but the engine is getting a bit tired..ive been making about 250 passes a year, at least for the last 5 years without breaking the engine down...so im getting some blow by now, and my valve springs are a bit tired..so new valve springs have been ordered...new rear dif gears...a new timing chain...new rings and bearings...my dad is an old race mechanic, so he built the motor when i was 16..so 10 years of street and track racing has taken its toll..it was making about 480hp last year with the worn springs, and late in the year, i broke a few rockers and pushrods during a run...ran a 14.70 @ 55 mph...[:@] its alot of fun..i run the other cars too, but they are MUCH slower...heres a picture of it...it isnt very beat my..my old truck is...

That's awesome. Hopefully after the rebuild, you'll be getting closer to the 11 range. What engine you got under the hood, and are you running any boost or nitro?

i am natrually aspirated, low compression. i can actually build just shy of 500hp on 85 octane, but that is of octane is hard to find anymore...we would like to get around 11s...no nitrous yet, although i ran a sebring coupe in 4 cylinder class last year also and it was on the bottle...the owner of that car is building a turbo motor, so that nitrous setup wont work for him anymore..i may get it, but i dont know on which car....
