Replace Run Flats With Regular Tires

I've read that this can't be done without replacing the wheels. Has anyone replaced their RFT's with regular tires without getting new wheels?

EVERYONE can replace the runflats with regular tires ...on factory rims

I am thinking about getting a Mini Cooper, but was worried about the RFT. Where do you put a spare, if you use Reg. tires?
