Adjust your stock mirrors properly and you won't need any one's gimmicks. Get in the center lane of a multi lane road and adjust your rear view mirror straight down your lane. Adjust your side view mirrors so that a car passing you will come into view in your side view mirror 'before' it leaves your rear view mirror. Likewise that adjustment should be such that when it's still in your side view mirror it will start to come into your peripheral vision. Head checks are helpful.
