Default 2014 MINI Countryman S with blown engine

This is my very first post so forgive any ignorance. I have a 2014 Countryman S. I blew the engine a few months ago when my car overheated. The best estimate I got to fix it was $6000. I've decided to just get myself a new (newer) MINI. What's the best option for my old Countryman? I'd be willing to sell it cheap to a MINI enthusiast that would want to fix it up. Best offer I've had is $1500. Should I take it? What if I wanted to part it out. How would I do that?
I appreciate any advice as I have never been in this situation.

Motor on!

Are you still looking to get rid of it? Or have you already? Where are you located?
