Back in april i had to replace the alternator and battery on my 2009 mini. within 2 months the alternator belt broke. had it replaced. 2 months later broke again. told pullys had to be replaced. had that done. 3 months later broke again.replaced belt again. last month broke again. new mechanic said thought it might be alternator causing all the issues since it is an after market alternator. 850 dollars for new factory alternator with no guarantee that will solve the problem. any thoughts of what could be the real issue.
