We gave you the low down on the 2009 MINI Cooper Convertibles back in November, but they’ve now officially made their debut at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show. While virtually identical to their hardtop brethren, they receive a new rollbar that will increase the driver’s visibility compared to the outgoing convertible models. The standard Cooper Convertible receives a 1.6L four-cylinder rated at 118 hp and the Cooper S Convertible receives a twin-scroll turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder capable of 172 hp.
