Hello Mini World!

I have purchased my used 2012 Mini Cooper Countryman kind of on a whim due to it's uniqueness and childhood obsession, but stupidly didn't purchase an extended warranty. Now, being a used vehicle I am starting to see some wear and tear that is well unfortunately starting to burn a hole in my wallet. Do any of you have any experiences with purchasing extended warranties and if so what companies have you had good experiences with. I have heard good things and bad things in relation to purchasing these types of warranties, but my fear is to go into the body shop and always be paying $500 plus bills everytime. Also, on the same note. Anyone who resides in Colorado have a trusted mechanic? I have gone to Schomp the last few times, which they have great service and free snacks(bonus), just labor costs are high. I am looking for any guidance anyone is willing to give. I absolutely love my car and don't want to give up on it due to my own stupidity.
