Hi, just wanted to get started here, I purchased an 05 Cooper S convertible. Hoping it will be as much fun as people say it is.

 

Grats on the purchase, I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Really looking forward to what you do with it.

 

First thing I need to do is figure out the repeated coil issue. The man I bought it from said it is wiping out coils. Need to go through all the diag myself, which should be a blast( not really) but the price was right and it's really clean so IMO it's worth messing with. As soon as I get it home and start messing with it I'll post more.

Well here is the follow up, found 2 wires chafed in the harness where it was wire tied to the valve cover. Some electrical tape and we are running great.
