I'm a new (used) Mini owner. Got a used 02 Pepper White MC when my 03 1.8T Jetta was totalled earlier this year due to flood damage in California. I have to say it's a really fun car to drive and I've had a blast spending lots of time in it. It was rough getting used to a non turbo vehicle after the Jetta but I love my Mini more than VW now. She's got about 97K on her at the moment and I'm starting to have some random issues, but who doesn't at that mileage. I haven't modded her at all, and don't plan on it. Previous owner put a resonator on it but that's all she's got. She recently completed a trip from CA to LA with no problems, if you don't count the A pillar trim being ripped off in New Mexico from the wind.
