This is my first post on this forum. I'm a new Mini owner. I have wanted one for years and finally got the chance to get one. I purchased a silver 2005 Mini cooper convertible a couple of weeks ago. I had forgotten how much fun driving can be. I love the car, however, the automatic transmission is a little weird in the way it shifts. I'm not really sure it's operating the way it should, otherwise this could be the perfect car!

sorry for the delay in getting back to you, my Mini has 124K+. The "weirdness" is just that it seems to a random shifting. It's very hard to get a handle on. This is my first experience with a CVT transmission and I can't tell if it's just my learning to drive this car or if it has the dreaded transmission problems I have been reading about today. The last thing I want to do is spend a load of cash on a new transmission. Thanks.
