Hello all!

19yr going to Santa Barbara for college and just fell in love with the MINI!

Currently driving a 04 M3, but it will be staying at my parents house in lower socal [sm=boosign.gif]

I am in the process of parting out my 03 IS300 and passing it in its stock version to my sibling, over the last year or so though I have fallen in love with BMW's Mini Cooper. My ex GF's mother has a 03 S I got to drive every so often and just this last summer my ex got a MINI S her self and that's when it hit me. Drove a Turbo S this weekend and now Im truly convinced its the car to have! They are becoming ever so popular atleast here in socal, an I cant help but jump on the wagon.

My only concern if any one can shed some light, (I know I should search but hey first post) Is the shifter cable or direct? The shifting feels too smooth to be direct. I am coming from a SS in my IS which is very short stiff throws but still the MINI feels very smooth shifts.
