Thumbs up Im New and proud owner of a 2002

Hi my name is Kurt Seim from Corpus Christi Tx. My family talked me out of buying my next Motorcycle I guess out of fear from my last wreck which I actually walked away from mostly unhurt. So they bought me a 2002 mini cooper 1.6L 5 speed manual which I have fallen love me its quite peppy but I want more out of it. I have done a lot of dressing up inside and out. looks awesome brittish flag center caps on the mags and brittish flag valve stem covers as well as the gas cap lid an mirrors and the checkard bonnet stripes on the hood as well as many leds inside with a nice dvd mp3 player. I know how to do body work. However engines I was use too doing anywork on was like our late 70s and early 80 model cars. so far I have purchased a tornado super charger for the air intake and a mindblower fuel performance maximiser module that ties into the ift sensor. I am considering going to a 6 speed manuel but not sure what difference it will make and looking at a catback exhaust system. I could sure use a lot of help other peoples knowledge. Looking forward to getting to now my fellow mini cooper fans and hoping to find a local area club to hopefully join. My ears are open and hungry for knowledge for what I can do to make the sticker on my back window that says, You just got passed by a mini. Hold true to its words any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely Kurt seim

Welcome Kurt! And congrats on the '02 Cooper! There are all kinds of performance mods you can do. Best bet is to get to know the MCF community and research applications as well as real-world gains.

Fun car - you'll have a blast with it!
