Default The Italian Job

Any MINI enthusiast who hasn't seen Paramount's "the Italian Job" is not fulfilling their duty as an enthusiast.
GO TO A VIDEO STORE AND BUY/RENT IT. YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID!!!

I don't think I've ever met a Mini owner who hasn't seen it. Probably because it is constantly playing in Mini dealerships. I think they used like 30 something Minis making that movie (it's some huge number), and they had the only fully electric Minis ever.

They didn't run on gas becuase of LA laws. Through the tunnel scenes they wern't aloud to run gas mini's, so they had to make them electric .

Haha yeah I highly doubt they were available to the public. There were only 3 of them made, so they'd go for a very hefty price, and I'm sure they run out of juice really quickly. If you watch the special features on the italian job, it tells you all about it. I think they just ran off of like a bunch of car batteries in the boot. Someone's gotta own them though, so there's probably some collector out there somewhere that bought them.

i would imagine that BMW owns one...probably in a HQ building, or something of the sort.

thats odd though...you would think that there would be more tracking ability for things like this...you know, the first twon corvettes to roll off the assembly line have been lost...
