This is Rain. I just bought my second Mini. It's a 2012 Clubman S. I'm looking to upgrade the intake, exhaust. Is the Remus cat back good? I live in San Diego. And I'm not sure that exhaust violates the state emission law. And also is there any Mini Professional performance shop in San Diego area? Thank you.

 

Welcome to MINI Cooper Forums, Rain! Congratulations on your purchase. Do you have any pictures? Yes, REMUS is an excellent choice and we sell their exhaust for your Clubman HERE. We are located a little up North from you in the LA area so shipping will be very quick. There are a lot of people that post reviews on the product explaining that the overall quality and sound is amazing. Their exhausts are made in German and they only use high quality product. They also provide a very good manufacture warranty. A catback will not violate any emissions laws as long as they do not replace the factory cats. You only have to worry when you mess with emission components on the car, like the intake for example. However, you can get an intake, like the M7 unit HERE and before going in for your emissions, swap the stock box back on and then this unit back on when done. You could also just do a drop in air filter HERE as the intake will be more for the sound than for a performance output. For MINI performance shops in your area, use this site HERE.
