New the Mini but am looking at them for my Mon-Fri commuting vehicle that I can enjoy and have fun with.

I have two that I am interested in both 2013 hardtop S 6speed.

The one I am in love with is a triple black S with cooper works aero kit. When I checked the carfax I am seeing a clutch and tranny replacement already. The car has 33k miles on it. Just not sure if it was blatantly beat on or just simply failed. From what I am reading this can happen although it seems like the 6speed is the best trans offered? Thoughts suggestions?

The other one im interested in is a 2013 S with 21k on it but totally clean maintenance record.

I can provide links but am looking for more info on things i should scrutinize on these cars. Like I said, I am not really familiar with Minis.

33k is pretty soon for a transmission to go so I would ask them a bit more questions about that. But, it has a new transmission and clutch so that's a good thing. 2013 is a good year as it has the N18, which has far less issues than the N14 (2007-2010) MINI Cooper S. Very low miles and if the maintenance record is clean, I'd go for it. The only worry is the N18's still do sometimes have HPFP (high pressure fuel pump issues), other than that they're pretty good. Just make sure the cooling system has not been neglected, including other fluids like brakes and how often the oil was changed. Spark plugs, filters, etc. Hope that helps and if you need anything when you acquire one let me know.
