Hello all,
I have purchased a mini cooper steering column off of a wrecked mini. This did not come with the key. I do not need the key to have a remote in it, or a chip or anything other than to unlock the steering column, and function like a normal key.
Where can I go to get a replacment key, and where do I find the info on the column to get a new key made?
Then whats the cheapest way I can get a replacement with out the fancy stuff in it?

 

You'll need the VIN from the wrecked mini the dealer can cut you a key , but then you'll have to carry two keys one for the door one for ignition .
I'd swap the lock assembly from the old one
