Good morning - looking forward to learning more about Mini’s. Just got a company car so looking to purchase a fun car - want a Cooper - open to 2 or 4 door, also convertible, budget is really $0 to $13,000, lower is better!
Two options that I really want are a sunroof/convertible and projector beam or LED headlights
What are th best years, what should I look for with particular model years? Just need a back seat for the dogs.

I have a '14 Convertible S. it has what you're looking for and more, such as navigation, bluetooth, power fold mirror, and parking sensors. it has about 14k miles. it comes with a PA rebuilt title. it is driven by my wife daily from/to school. let me know if you're interested.
The insurance company issued a salvage title due to some flooding in that area. When I got it, the damage was minimal and only effected the amp, bluetooth module and lighting/window module. All were replaced and the car was inspected by a local shop. I gave all documents to PennDOT and they issued me a rebuilt title. It is registered and insured like any normal car.
