Default Which Mini Cooper Convertible model/year should i buy

Hi Everyone,

I plan to purchase a used mini cooper convertible. I have done a lot of reading and my summary is that, the first generation (R52) 2008 W series base model (not the S) with manual transmission (to avoid the CVT) is the most rock solid option based on reported issues.

Does anyone agree or disagree?

What about the same but a 2007?

Thanks so much!

You should find them and test drive both of them. You never know. You might like the way one drives then the other.
