Smile Need some help!!!

Hi all,

I'm a college student in CA looking at trading my 2004 Toyota Matrix XR w/ 65,000 miles for a 2002 Standard Mini w/ 110,000 miles on it. Supposedly the Mini has been well maintained and is in great condition. It is in a town a few hours from where I am, I'm hopefully going to see and test drive it next weekend.

I've always wanted a Mini, and in some ways this seems too good to pass up. What do you think? I know 110,000 miles is a lot, but I have also heard Minis can last up to 300,000 miles.

I would really love to learn the car inside and out. I would like to get so familiar with the car that I could do most of my own repairs.

My Matrix is nice, but it barely has any power. It's a real pain on the highway. I want something that's great around corners and has a little kick to it.

Help me with my decision!

D
