new battery!

hi y'all ... new here and i have a problem that someone may be able to help me with: I just replaced the battery on my r56 '11 mini cooper s and the car won't start!! ... i checked on you tube and i'm gathering that i need to rest my car!!?? does anybody has any info on this and what steps do i need to follow to make it work!, thanks before hand for your help!

Check the terminal and if you have it hooked up positive to positive cable and vice versa. Might be a bad starter if the fuse and everything else is ok. Does it crank?
