New to me
Just picked up a 2004 Cooper S for 3 grand less than book value!! Not a darned thing wrong with it, and it goes like a rocket on rails!!
Paid 12k for it, and I have the original new vehicle window sticker. 17" run flats, and the kick butt Harmon Kardon sound system, not to mention the front to back sun roof!! Sold in 2004 for 26k, assuming that anyone could even buy one for sticker, back then. I estimate, I could list it, right now, and get 15k for it, but it's just too darned much fun, so maybe next year, I'll sell it.

Sounds like you got a smokin' deal. I paid about $14k for mine, which is an '03 very similar to yours. Only 36k miles on mine, though, so I don't think I did *too* bad.... Love the moonroof/sunroof!
