Default New Member Mini R52 convertible

Hello Mini Owners,

Traded my 2011 Jetta Diesel for my daughters 2006 Mini R52 (the new grandchild's car seat would not fit in the Mini). Will be checking on your posts to keep this car working in good order.

So with a 10 year old Mini maintained by my daughter, it needed some work. Oil change, new coolant, flushed and replaced break fluid, air filter, spark plugs, rear breaks, anti lock break relay, rear O2 sensor, wash and wax.

Runs great. Some rattling in the rear. Sounds like the muffler. Rubber trim around the convertible needs replacement.

I'll see what you owners have done to maintain your Mini. I generally keep my cars for 20 years. So this baby has 10 years to go.

Welcome to MINI Cooper Forums, Kobyja. Be sure to check out our free tech article library here: Pelican Parts - MINI Cooper Technical Articles as you continue to work on your daughters R52.

What seals are you needing exactly for the convertible top? Take a look at the diagrams below and let me know.
