New member with racing hopes
Hello everyone, a Jacksonville native here, I currently drive a 2011 Honda crz as my daily, but in more important news I have been given an aged 2006 mini cooper convertible by my father. I have only one goal for this car and that is to track it. I intend to race her. I am new to the racing community and was looking for some helpful tips, any major issues the 2006's have, best brake setup, a good division/series for a beginner, and stuff like that.

Hello and welcome! Look into NASA and SCCA divisions in your area for racing. Also, look into some good suspension upgrades if you intend to track it. Such as coil overs, rear sway bar, and bushing upgrades. Can take a look at what we offer here. Make sure all the basic maintenance needs are met. A good brake upgrade may be HAWK HP pads, a good vented/slotted rotor, stainless steel brake lines, and doing a good aggressive brake fluid. I, personally, use ATE type 200 for track use. Let me know if you have any questions!
