New to MINI
Hello everyone.
I just bought a MINI. It is a 07 Mini Cooper S turbo.
It is really nice but it needs work. As far as know there is one cylinder that has no compression.
I would like to know where to start. The engine does run with a miss fire but it runs. When it runs there is black smoke at first and then it goes to white.
I want to know where to start. Im thinking about taking the head off and see what the damage is.
In case i can't fix the engine where could I get an engine? and what years would it fit?

You need to find out what's wrong, sounds like you might have a blown head gasket? Or worse.
If you need any parts check us out. If you do need an engine the N14 engine goes from 2007-2010 in all the S models. In 2011 the engine went to the N18.
