Default New Mini Owner

Hello All
I have just purchased my 1st Mini. A red 2009 Mini Cooper R56 Hatchback that needs work. The previous owner said it is possibly a head gasket.
I look forward to learning about my Mini Cooper
My other vehicles are Land Rovers so this will be a new adventure for me

Thank You
Edstephan

Welcome Edstephan! I too just got a 2005 mini r52 that needs a lot of work (it was severely neglected :-/). Looking forward to getting some knowledge here to fix her up... the major problem rn is that the sunroof doesn't work at all.

As for the head gasket, do you know about the combustion leak tester kit that'll detect exhaust fumes in your coolant? My favorite person to watch is modMini and my favorite website for ordering parts is www.ecstuning.com.

Testing for exhaust gasses from my coolant tank on my 335i

Thank You MiniBeemer, for the welcome and the valuable information
I haven't had a chance to look at it closely.
The best of luck with your mini

Poor men are often even more generous than rich men. After all, generosity lies not in the amount of money spent, but in the willingness to give a loved one boston personals a gift, without thinking about whether she "deserved" it. Someone can give his girlfriend one rose and a heart-shaped cake on a weekday "just because I love you!", and someone will buy his wife a watch covered with diamonds, and will remind her of this at every opportunity.
