New owner today--YEA!
Hi All!
Just purchased today a 2005 Mini Cooper S w/6 speed tranny and 77K on the clock. Absolutely fun fun fun to drive. The dealer is still prepping it due to an oil o-ring leak, so I have to wait a couple more days.
They(non-mini dealer) completely went over the car. There was a small leak somewhere in the rear seal? and they pulled the engine to replace that and maybe the oil pan gasket--not sure. They replaced the water pump, plugs, changed the supercharger oil with the right oil from Mini and a few other things like brakes, clutch, deglaze flywheel etc. The mechanic there is just super good it appears and this dealership rates very high among other dealers nationwide. Tires were replaced back in April 2011. So I think I have a decent car. Car has NOT been abused and it's very apparent that someone took good care of her before me.
Anyways, so I am saying hello here and glad to finally be a part of the Mini Cooper family. It really is a cool looking little car. Any advice here would help about my purchase. I'm sure you will hear a lot from me in the future forum posts!
