I wanted to say hello on behalf of my wife and I. We will be picking up our Cooper tomorrow and are very excited!

We are both auto enthusiasts, but are total noobs when it comes to Minis. We look forward to getting to know, and learning from, everyone here.

A bit about the car is that it is a 2003 Cooper, Indi Blue w/ white top, mirrors, and 16" wheels.

We're super excited to be part of the Mini family!

 

About 3 months ago I bought a used '06 "zero option" base Cooper. I liked it, except for two things. It didn't have cruise control, and, to me, it was the wrong color for a MINI.

About a month ago I went to a dealer and test drove a new MINI. About an hour later, I bought one. My new car is a base coupe, red with white roof, and 16 inch wheels as the only option. The new one had cruise control standard, but I like it better in other ways as well. It rides better than the '06, in spite of the run flat tires on the new one, and the new is much more "relaxed" feeling at highway speed because of the 6-speed with the tall top gear.

In summary, I like the car a lot. So far, I've had no problems. I hope it stays that way because the dealer is not very convenient to get to from where I live.
