Just purchased a 2009 Mini S Convertible for my wife. From what I can see, it is a great car. We had been researching them for a month. Questions that I hope won't break Rules - Does all maintenance have to be done by a Mini Dealer? Does it void the warranty to go to another Import Auto Mechanic? Is there a way for the car owner to do oil changes and resets of the codes/reminders? I am in the habit of doing every other oil change on any vehicle I own so that I have a hands on experience with it and am very adept and many automotive maintenance tasks.

We are learning Boot, Bonnet and all that. So far, we love the car. Traded an 03 Mazda Miata for it and it is a good replacement.
