Hi All, I'm new to the forum & just bought a '02 Mini Cooper as bit of a project. The Odometer display on my Speedometer is totally illegible as only the top of the pixels laminate. Is there a known fix? Can the display be repaired or is it as easy to just replace the whole speedometer unit? If I were to buy a used speedometer, does it have to be divorced from the Donner vehicle & married to my one? Also, does anyone make a replacement dial to convert the speed from MPH to KM/H? Sorry for so many questions, just could do with a pointer in the right direction, the mechanics I can handle.

 

You would have to get a whole new speedo and have it coded at the MINI dealership, i had this done back in the day with my Gen 1 MINI.
