Default Potential new MINI owner

I am checking out a 2011 MINI Cooper JCW w/ 83k miles for $11k... I have read a LOT of responses to maintenance questions all saying they are money pits, expensive and yea... Break down a lot. I've also heard some people have great experiences with them. Here is what is offered with this car - I need advice...Am I walking into trouble on this one? Please, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Last 12k miles replacement parts:
Clutch
Thermostat and crossover pipe
Water pump and pulley
Drive belt
Front brake pads, rotors and sensors
Rear brake pads, rotots and sensors
Valve cover
Intake valve carbon walnut blasting
Brake fluid
4k-5k oil change intervals, never more than 5k
Timing chain tensioner
High pressure fuel pump (w/ mini extended warranty)
Junction box electronics (JBE)
Electric water pump for aftercooling (mini recall)
Spark plugs

Aftermarket parts:
H&R coilover kit
genuine mini carbon fiber hood scoop
Alta performance rear sway bar
Alta performance rear sway bar end links
Alta performance stubby antennae
Cell phone holder mounted to gauge cluster behind steering wheel

*Cosmetic damage to paint on hood*
*Timing belt never replaced*

That's already quite a list of repairs... The owner works for a BMW/Mini shop and still has a loan on it - which he tells me he has never sold a car he has had a loan on before. I can't discern if that means that he is just fed up with the maintenance and repair costs or what the deal is. Please help!

Hi,
if all the receipts are available for the work carried out,at least for the parts and the work he couldn't do himself.i would jump on it as all the work has been done including preventative maintenmain.the paintwork can be done relatively cheaply.they are good reliable cars they just need to be serviced correctly as with any other car.look after it and it will look after you.
