This forum doesn't seem to be very helpful. I haven't received one single response to my posts. Oh well, I guess I'll be returning to other Mini forums that I find helpful and useful!!
Good luck with this forum.

Hey Guys:
You're absolutely right!! Please accept my apologies for "jumping the gun" and coming across as bitter. I should have realized that this is a new forum with fewer members than a more established forum and, therfore, responses to member posts may take longer. Anyhow, I truly hope I didn't offend anyone here. Also, I want to thank you for your responses...definitely gave me something to think about ( for example... ordering the S version vs. regular version).
If you don't mind, I have another question: For those of you that have used the "build your own mini" feature on miniusa.com, was you car delivered as specified? Also, approximately how long did it take for your vehicle to arrive from the time of ordering? One dealership I spoke with said it takes about 90 days, which is fine.
Thanks again for your responses...I really appreciate the info and advise.

Hey, don't worry bout it man. I actually used the build your own Mini feature on the Mini website while I was at the dealership ordering. We built the entire car on there and ordered it, and it came just how I wanted it. They also said about 90 days for my delivery, but it came in about 2 months I think, so I was a very happy camper when I got the call.

I used the "Build-A-MINI" feature on the website, printed it out, and brought it to the dealer. They looked it over, said no problem, and just under 2 months later the exact car I printed out was delivered. Plus, once you get an order number, you can track the progress of your mini (at various major stages of production) from order to delivery at your dealer.

well ill find out myself when mine comes in within 2-3 weeks but im not worried b/c i was there and saw the electronic order when the manager did it for me.....The one thing i did find out that was wrong on the website is the $150 option for carbon fiber interior trim kit ( not the JCW dash which is $1200 ) so i called Mini on it and they confirmed it being wrong.......Normally the mistakes when ordering the options on your car is the dealer being they are doing the ordering. We get that rarely and its normal human error and will happen. We do make up for it by offering the money back or just putting in the option as long as its not a factory only option of coarse and then in that case your in the sh*tter on having to order another car and eating that one to be put on the lot.
