Default thinking about a mini?

Well,I am on the market for a new car, actually a year ago I sold my Sti and WRX wagon for more sensible CRV and civic. Had a baby 8 months ago,gas ,economy crisis etc. Bought the civic as a commuter car because we were living 65 miles further from work for the summer because we were doing an extension on the house. I am sick of the ho hum civic and have always liked the mini. So I found a nice low mileage(7000 mi!!)dealer certified pre owned 2005 convertable S with a 6 speed tranny. I am ready to pull the trigger but thought I'd get some opinions here and ask some questions. First is it easy to turn back the mileage? The seats and carpets look like they have more than the stated mileage. What things specific to minis should I look for? Are there any issues specific to the 05 convert? Recommendations? Oh the car is $18999. Seems like a great deal IF everything is legit. Thanks.

I am not much help as I just bought a 2006 Convertible with 14k on the clock. I would think that today it would be pretty hard to roll the mileage back with the way the dealers all have the mileage every time it is in the shop and with carfax ect I think it would be hard to not get noticed these days.
the one you found sounds like a good deal.
I just put new wheels on ours yesterday

well I am now a proud mini owner!! all I need is to shorten/tighten up the shifter linkage(suggestions on bushings or a short shifter would be appreciated0, firm up the brakes with some ss lines and pads and pick up a set of winter wheels so I can get the car up my driveway and into the garage
