Hi I'm new to this forum my first post. I did a search for this issue but didn't find anything current or resolved. I have a 2014 Clubman S and I have the issue of throttle lag or turbo lag. Doesn't do it in sport mode. Feels like a dead spot in the accelerator.


Has any had a fix for this dealer says it is normal.

 

Welcome to MINI Cooper Forums! With a turbo, you'll have some lag. It's not an instant power band feeling like a supercharger or a naturally aspirated vehicle. You will want to install a Sprint Booster onto your Clubman to help with the laggy throttle response. Let me know if you need anything else for your new MINI.

The JB+ is a tune, so you will most likely still have some sort of lag off the start. It might not be as much, but it'll be present. The Sprint Booster specifically works to increased acceleration time by improving your MINI's response, increases pedal input sensitivity and delivers more impressive off the line performance. You can call and speak to Burge specifically about what their tune would improve vs. doing a Sprint Booster. Good luck!
